Doesn't matter which club you played for last year, these teams are made up of the best players in the region. Get registered!
Open Gyms
Showcase your talent at the open gyms. Open gym times will be posted on both websites and social media.
Tryout
Doesn't matter which club you played for, these tryouts are your fist stop. Always start at the top.
Teams
The regional team will be pick, and if you made it, awesome! If you didn't, you can now move to tryout for BGV, APEX or any other club.
Why this new format?
The Black Gold/South Edmonton region has always had many great players. It also has many great clubs as well. The problem is that all this great talent gets divided up amongst all the different clubs. So being the two longest standing clubs in the region, APEX and BGV, have come together to create a regional team in each age group.
These teams and players do not play for BGV or APEX, they are their own REGIONAL team. They will get different jerseys (three types), practices times, schedules, etc. They will be managed by the two clubs management teams as their own entity.
This is why it doesn’t matter which club you played for last season, these tryouts are your first stop! They will be early enough in the day so if you are not selected you can still make it to other tryouts.
What do you get for making the Regional team?
- 3 -4 Practices a week
- Strength Training
- 2 -3 local tournaments
- Volleyball Alberta Premiers
- Provincial tournament
- Registration for the National tournament – (15U-18U)
